Choose from these flavours of sweet scones (made with very little sugar in order to allow for that perfect balance when you to slap on that clotted cream and jam):

If you prefer something substantial, do try this umami-filled delicious savoury scone:

  • Chives + Cheddar Scones

The Chives + Cheddar Scones are made with Maldon sea salt, good quality shredded cheddar and fresh chives.

Price: RM 45 for a set of 9 savoury scones.

All scones are ± 2.5 inches in diameter and ± 1.5 inches in height. They are made with good quality unsalted butter and full cream milk, and are finished off with an egg wash for glaze.

Soft-baked golden deliciousness!

Don’t you love delving into the historical origins of food! The delicious ANZAC biscuits were first made during World War 1 for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, hence its name. The three main stars in ANZAC biscuits are desiccated coconut, rolled oats and golden syrup. Replicating the flavour profile, I’ve made these into soft-baked coconut oat cookies, which are available on the menu now. These egg-free cookies are delicious paired with a good hot cup of coffee (or tea, if you prefer!). If, like me, you wax lyrical over a childhood favourite called Candy Kelapa (Coconut Candy), then this is the cookie for you.

Matcha + Ginger Biscotti

Matcha Ginger Pistachio Biscotti|Nat YusopThe inspiration for this biscotti was a chocolate matcha truffle I had recently; it was sublime!

To widen my biscotti repertoire, the trans-fat free Matcha biscotti is available as two types of flavour pairings:

+ Almonds

I first made matcha (powdered green tea) and almond biscotti for the Chinese New Year festivities recently. Matcha is surprisingly not as “earthy” or “seaweed-y” as you’d expect. In the biscotti, it has a pleasant light taste.

+ Pistachio/Almonds + Ginger

Pictured here is the matcha and pistachio biscotti baked with a crust of finely chopped candied ginger. The candied ginger gives it a surprising burst of fleeting mild heat, hence the naughty tag.

How is this good for you?

CHOCOLATE especially the dark (bittersweet) variety, has flavonoids – a type of anti-oxidant which fights cellular damage. It is also high in potassium, copper, magnesium and iron – giving you a boost in great minerals. Let’s not forget that chocolate is a stress reliever, depression buster and all round feel-good food.

ZUCCHINIS are a very low calorie vegetable, a great source of dietary fibre, antioxidants, vitamins A and C. Naughty in that there’s a vegetable (well, technically it’s a fruit!) sneaked into a cake.
